ANNA, Ill. -- Harvey Ligon, 89, of Anna, died Monday, Sept. 18, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born June 2, 1906, in Anna, son of John H. and Birdie West Ligon. He and Helen Church were married Oct. 10, 1931.
Ligon was a retired partner of Ligon Lumber Co. He was a member and elder of First Christian Church, and former board member of Union County Hospital.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Barbara Smith of Huntsville, Ala., Mary Wurtz of St. Louis, Jane Seabaugh of Anna; a brother, John Ligon of Anna; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, with Steve Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
