MOUNDS, Ill. -- Harry George Tuffley, 79, of Bullhead City, Ariz., formerly of Mounds, died Saturday, June 21, 2003.
He was born June 14, 1924, in Minneapolis, Minn. He married Evva Palmer 57 years ago.
Tuffley attended St. Thomas Military Academy where he participated in football and baseball.
He worked for Mobil Oil Co. 31 years. After retiring he lived both in Illinois and Arizona. He was a member of VFW Post 8891 in Mounds.
Tuffley was a radioman in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael Tuffley of San Diego, Calif., James Tuffley of Wildomar, Calif.; two daughters, Peggy Tuffley-Burnsed of Springfield, Ga., Cathy Tuffley of Vista, Calif.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Private burial will be held at Fort Rosecrans Memorial Cemetery in Point Loma, Calif.
