HARRY L. SCHERER

KELSO -- Harry Louis Scherer, 60, of Kelso, died Thursday, June 24, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 10, 1933, at Kelso, son of Albert John and Vernetta Burger Scherer. He and Catherine Mary Seyer were married Sept. 25, 1954, at Oran.

Scherer farmed most of his life in this area, and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He served in the National Guard eight years.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna Meyer and Karla Wyatt; his mother; a sister, Alene Heuring, all of Kelso; four grandchildren, and three stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and grandchild.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Church. Msgr. John Westhues will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City after 2 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.
