Funeral service for Harry G. Heise Sr. of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Mark Martin will officiate, with burial in Hanover Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Heise, 81, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1916, at Egypt Mills, son of Gustav L. and Anna Abernathy Heise. He and Marie Meyer were married April 17, 1938, in Cape Girardeau.
Heise was a graduate of the former College High School. He farmed and raised cattle on the family farm near Egypt Mills. He was a member of Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church and former member of its Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Harry Heise Jr. of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Carolyn Heise of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Dale Heise of Egypt Mills; three sisters, Grace Hobbs of Springfield, Lillian Cundiff of Tampa, Fla., and Nelda Hobbs of Hot Springs, Ark.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, and a sister.
