JEFFERSON CITY -- Harry Curtis Carbaugh Sr., 71, of Jefferson City, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at his home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1926, at Chaffee, the son of Theodore Marion and Zora Mae Hood Carbaugh. He married Louise Letempt on June 12, 1943, at Cape Girardeau.
Carbaugh was a truck driver for A.B.F. and was a retired teamster of Local 574.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the H.O. Grauel Masonic Lodge 672 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harry Carbaugh Jr. of Scott City and Ted Carbaugh of Jackson; three daughters, Harriet Webb, Ruth Ann McKinley and Rebecca DeBrodie, all of Jefferson City; two sisters, Rose Miller of Bethlehem, Pa., and Marcy Hill of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Carbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
