ULLIN, Ill. -- Harold Samuel Wilburn Sr., 57, of Ullin died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at the Veterans Affairs Nursing Home in Marion, Ill.
He was born Oct. 8, 1943, in Mound City, Ill., son of Paul Maxwell and Galena Fissinger Wilburn.
Formerly of Mounds, Ill., and Mound City, he was a self-employed carpenter and contractor with Harold S. Wilburn Construction Co. in Pulaski County, Ill.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Wilburn Jr. of Ullin, Stevan Wilburn of Indiana; two daughters, Cristina Hammer of Ullin, Teresa Richardson of Florida; three brothers, Troy Wilburn of Kelso, Mo., Barry Wilburn of Barlow, Ky., Mike Wilburn of Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; five sisters, Shirley Black of St. Louis, Patty Schmarje of Jackson, Mo., Linda Stevens of Frankfort, Ind., Donna Jones of Tamms, Ill., Karen Dentino of Atlanta, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Carl Clark officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Mound City.
