CHARLESTON -- Harold J. Uthoff, 82, Charleston Route 2, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 29, 1916, at Matthews, son of Fred Andrew and Ava Hinton Uthoff. He and Lucille Westhoff were married July 18, 1944.
A retired farmer and landowner, Uthoff had lived in Scott and Mississippi Counties most of his life. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dorothy Lee, Charleston Route 2; a brother, Verlon Uthoff of Charleston; a sister, Bonnie Crosno of Plantation, Fla.; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Kriete officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
