Harold Lewis Thompson, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Nov. 4, 1931, at Allenville, Mo., son of Fred and Lulu Myrtle Harmon Thompson. He and Jane Evelyn Sanders were married July 15, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.

Thompson was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Jackson, Mich.

He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Roger Thompson of Ypsilanti, Mich., Ronald and Randol Thompson of Jackson, Mich., Richard Thompson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Rhonda Woodruff of Jackson, Mich.; two sisters, Dean Caldwell and Myrtle Thompson of Cape Girardeau; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Mo., from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be private.
