PUXICO -- Harold J. Pennington, 70, of Puxico died Saturday, July 5, 1997, at his home. He was born Feb. 19, 1927, in St. Louis, the son of Lawrence and Ella Williams Pennington. He married Genevieve Crawford on Dec. 24, 1945, in Piggott, Ark. He was a retired custodian with the Puxico public schools. He attended Life Chapel Assembly of God Church in Puxico. PUXICO -- Harold J. Pennington, 70, of Puxico died Saturday, July 5, 1997, at his home.

He was born Feb. 19, 1927, in St. Louis, the son of Lawrence and Ella Williams Pennington. He married Genevieve Crawford on Dec. 24, 1945, in Piggott, Ark.

He was a retired custodian with the Puxico public schools. He attended Life Chapel Assembly of God Church in Puxico. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Leon Pennington of Wappapello and Rick Pennington of Puxico; a daughter, Geneva Magill of Puxico; two sisters, Pauline Miller of Poplar Bluff and Mildred Pigg of Harviell; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

Friends may call today after 6 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Life Chapel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Gary Green officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
