ANNA, Ill. -- Harold Miles, 85, of Anna died Saturday, May 10, 1997, at the Jonesboro Health Care Facility. He was born April 9, 1912, in Bristow, Ind., son of John and Josie Hall Miles. He married Elva Stucky on June 6, 1942. She died May 18, 1987...
ANNA, Ill. -- Harold Miles, 85, of Anna died Saturday, May 10, 1997, at the Jonesboro Health Care Facility.
He was born April 9, 1912, in Bristow, Ind., son of John and Josie Hall Miles. He married Elva Stucky on June 6, 1942. She died May 18, 1987.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna and served as pastor there from 1956 to 1970.

He is survived by a son, Larry Miles of Anna; a daughter, Sharon Waterman of Anna; a brother, Earl Miles of Evansville, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna, and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Anna.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with Richard Crabtree officiating. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery.
