PERRYVILLE -- Harold L. Gibbar, 75, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 1991, at Perry County Hospital.
He was born Oct. 7, 1915, in St. Louis, son of James H. and Eleanor Mary Belsha Gibbar. He and Vita M. French were married Feb. 6, 1940.
Gibbar was a self-employed contractor, member of Perryville Elks 2701, Ushers Association at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, and was a 3rd Degree Knight.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Harold and Thomas Gibbar of Perryville, Roger Gibbar of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Dorothy Wibbenmeyer of Perryville; a brother, James Gibbar of Perryville; three sisters, Jane Gibbar of St. Louis, Jeanette Brown and Rose Bohnert of Perryville; 11 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Sam Mages will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at Drayton Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today. The wake will be at 7, and Elks service at 7:30.
