HAROLD JOHN BALSMAN

PERRYVILLE -- Harold John Balsman, 72, of Perryville died Friday, Nov. 19, 1993, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 27, 1921, in Perry County, the son of Frank F. and Elizabeth Seiferd Balsman. On June 13, 1945, he married Rita M. Guyot, who survives of the home.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council #1263, and American Legion Booster Club Post #133.

Other survivors include three sons, Robert J. Balsman of Arnold, John F. Balsman of Barnhart and Randy J. Balsman of Jackson; a daughter, Ellen Westmoreland of Perryville; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a daughter.

Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. A parish and K of C wake will be at 7 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, c.m., will officiate, and burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
