Harold J. Hutchings, 67, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 20, 1950, in Fredericktown, Missouri, to Robert and Frances (Dollinger) Hutchings.

Harold proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by two children, Amy Cobb and Michael Hutchings, both of New Madrid, Missouri; a brother, Robert (Pat) Hutchings of Fruitland; a sister, Nancy Hutchings of Jackson; his grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Hutchings, and his parents.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
