JONESBORO, Ill. -- Harold E. Dillow, 89, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 31, 1915, in Springville, Ill., son of Rollie A. and Gertrude Hunter Dillow. He and Violet M. Fink were married on Sept. 12, 1936, in Buncomb, Ill.
Dillow was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and a Sunday school teacher for more than 60 years. He served on the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School Board for several terms and was a 4-H leader for many years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Patricia McIntosh of Anna, Ill.; two sisters, Madge Bradley of Alton, Ill., and Jannette Brumitt of Anna; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Joe Aldridge will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.
