ADVANCE, Mo. -- Harold C. Camren, 81, of Advance passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Eldercare in Marble Hill, Mo.
He was born June 6, 1928, at Greenbrier, Mo., son of Augie and Pearl Borders Camren.
Harold retired from Terminal Railroad in St. Louis after 34 years as a switchman.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Harold and Betty Cagle were united in marriage Jan. 31, 1953. She preceded him in death July 21, 2004.
Survivors include a son, Mark Camren of Benton, Mo.; a daughter, Brenda Marine of Twin Lakes, Colo.; three brothers, Hurshel "Babe" Camren of Advance, Herbert Camren and Bill Camren of Granite City, Ill.; a sister, Eula Brown of Millersville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Collins Cemetery near Advance.
