MARBLE HILL -- Harley Dock Sitze, 65, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Bond Nursing Care Center. He was born April 23, 1933, near Bessville, son of Luke W. and Beulah Butler Sitze. Sitze retired as a machinist from McDonnell Douglas. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Sitze served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War...

MARBLE HILL -- Harley Dock Sitze, 65, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Bond Nursing Care Center.

He was born April 23, 1933, near Bessville, son of Luke W. and Beulah Butler Sitze.

Sitze retired as a machinist from McDonnell Douglas. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Sitze served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include a son, Randy Sitze of St. Louis; a daughter, Renne Kennedy of St. Louis; a brother, Clark Sitze of Marble Hill; four sisters, Edna Irvin, Evelyn Robins and Linda Long, all of Marble Hill, and Lola Henson of Maplewood.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Randy Poole and Kirby Grindstaff officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery near Marble Hill, with military rites by VFW Post 5900.
