ADVANCE, Mo. -- Harlena Jean Francis, 72, of Advance passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at her home. She was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Advance, the daughter of Harley and Josephine Henson. She married Kenneth Francis on Aug. 28, 1960, and he passed away Jan. 7, 2014...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Harlena Jean Francis, 72, of Advance passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at her home.

She was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Advance, the daughter of Harley and Josephine Henson. She married Kenneth Francis on Aug. 28, 1960, and he passed away Jan. 7, 2014.

Harlena owned and operated the Ken's Gas and Henson's Grocery Store in Advance, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Advance.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie (Stewart) Downs of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and a brother, Gary (Trudy) Henson of Aiken, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Kelly and Rick Francis officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Cemetery in Grassy, Missouri.
