MOREHOUSE -- Harce Wise of Morehouse died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 1994, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.
Wise, 82, was born in Hartman, Ark., on May 20, 1912, to Charley and Dora Moore Wise. On Aug. 15, 1933, he married Orpha Reynolds in Hartman, Ark.
Wise was a farmer and a retired custodian from Britts Department Store in Sikeston. He was a member of the First Oneness Pentecost Church in Morehouse.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Elsie Duncan of Morehouse; a brother, Q. B. Wise of East Prairie; six sisters, Beulah Freeman of Fayetteville, Ark., Lizzie Railey of Berryville, Ark., Dorothy Ellis and Virginia Goetz of Davenport, Iowa, Wilma Schworts of Jackson, and Edith Hale of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Morehouse at 10 a.m. Thursday. Funeral services are scheduled at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Nathaniel Lewis and the Rev. Jimmy Vent officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
