BERTRAND -- Halleen Shaw, 74, of Bertrand, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1993, at Bertrand Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 18, 1919, at Anniston, daughter of Harley and Marean Brokaw Choate. She and James Shaw were married Aug. 20, 1963.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Jeannette Blair of Eugene, Ore., Dorothy Burton of Sikeston, Connie Groves and Catherine Yoakum of Columbia; a stepson, Henry Shaw of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two stepdaughters, June Collier, Charleston Route 2, Linda Barry of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, Harley and George Choate of Poplar Bluff, Andrew Choate of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Juanita McGraw of St. Louis, Virginia Garland of Paducah, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren, and seven great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
