SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Guile Ellis "Guy" Bollinger Sr., 75, of Sedgewickville died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 26, 1922, at Sedgewickville, son of Thomas E. and Elizabeth Catherine Ellis Bollinger. He and Doris Jane Hartle were married March 31, 1945.
Bollinger was retired from RCA in St. Louis. He was a member of Mizpah Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Moonier-Reddick American Legion Post 133 in Perryville, and Patton Lions Club.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Guy Bollinger Jr. of Ellisville, Art Bollinger of Eureka, Brian Bollinger of St. Charles, Scott Bollinger of St. Louis; a brother, Jim Bollinger of Neosho; a sister, Marie Birk of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. Friday. An American Legion service will be held at 6:30.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. W.D. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
