Gustave W. Bauche, 87, of New Haven died Monday, Sept. 15, 1997, at New Haven Care Center.
He was born March 12, 1910, at Gerald, son of Rudolph and Rosa Nellie Nolting Bauche. He and Evelyn M. Pelster were married Aug. 8, 1937, in New Haven.
Bauche was co-owner and operator of Bauche-Scheer Sales and Service. He worked at Hill-Behan Lumber Co. more than 20 years, and had owned and operated Bauche General Store at Dissen.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and American Legion in New Haven. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Warren Bauche of New Haven; two daughters, Bonnie Matzat of Cape Girardeau, Lou Ann Wicker of St. Charles; a sister, Mildred Hoppe of Washington, Mo.; a brother, LeRoy Bauche of O'Fallon; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home in New Haven from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Church, with the Rev. William Zastrow officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
