Grace Wille, 70, of Jackson died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at her home.
She was born Jan. 13, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Newton and Grace I. Willa Gilliland. She and Norman E. Wille were married April 6, 1961, in Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 15, 2001.
Wille worked several years at the former International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau and the former Lee Rowan Inc. in Jackson.
Appointed to the Jackson City Park Board in 1993, she was instrumental in the development of the Brookside War Memorial. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its Concordia Guild, and VFW Auxiliary in Jackson.
Survivors include a son, Todd Wille of Jackson; two brothers, Newton Gilliland of Oak Ridge, Lawrence Gilliland of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Fran Lineberry and Kay Story of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
