JACKSON -- Grace M. Gallup, 88, of Jackson died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996, at Jackson Manor. She was born Sept. 8, 1908, at Patton, daughter of Ferdinand and Ida Brotherton Crites. She and John "Virgil" Gallup were married June 19, 1928. He died Nov. 15, 1989...

JACKSON -- Grace M. Gallup, 88, of Jackson died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Sept. 8, 1908, at Patton, daughter of Ferdinand and Ida Brotherton Crites. She and John "Virgil" Gallup were married June 19, 1928. He died Nov. 15, 1989.

Gallup lived near Patton most of her life, moving to Jackson in 1983. She was a member of Post Oak Congregational Methodist Church near Patton.

Survivors include three daughters, Imogene Seabaugh and Ethel Borgfield of Jackson, Bertie DeBoe of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a brother, Everett Crites of Jackson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Julius Mills and Don Sander officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
