BLODGETT, Mo. -- Gordon James Vinyard, 56, of Blodgett died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at his home.
He was born July 3, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ben and Marie Ward Vinyard. He and Joyce Underwood were married Sept. 16, 1995, at Benton, Mo.
Vinyard was a truck driver with Fleming Trucking Co.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Danny Vinyard of Benton; two daughters, Lisa Lee of Advance, Mo., Tresa Jordan of Benton; two stepsons, Charles Starks of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Michael Starks of Memphis, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Angela Mandujano of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Frank Vinyard of Benton, Joe Vinyard of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and a brother.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett City Cemetery.
