GOLDIE F. AWICK

NEELYS LANDING -- Goldie F. Awick, 86, of Neelys Landing, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born April 20, 1905, at Oriole, daughter of David and Nora Lee Dewrock McLain. She married John F. Awick June 3, 1924. He died Oct. 25, 1975.

Awick moved to Jackson in 1942, and to Neelys Landing in 1955. She attended the former Shepherd Baptist Church here, and was a member of Eastern Star in Conway Springs, Kan.

Survivors include friends who took care of her, Dave and Brenda Reker, Cape Girardeau Route 1, and a number of cousins.

She was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Eddie Dodson will officiate, with burial in McLain Chapel Cemetery at Indian Creek.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
