WHITEWATER -- Funeral service for Goldia Jacobs, Whitewater Route 1, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Wayne Johnson will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to service time.
Jacobs, 82, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1993, at her home.
She was born Jan. 29, 1911, at Dutchtown, daughter of John and Mary Surlet Chapman. She first married Raymond Craft. She later married Cyrill Jacobs Dec. 15, 1951, in Piggott, Ark. He died July 4, 1972.
Jacobs worked 30 years at the Purple Crackle Club, retiring in June 1990.
Survivors include a son, Jackie Craft of Clinton, Ind.; a daughter, Glenda Stroder, Whitewater Route 1; a stepson, C.R. Jacobs of Granite City, Ill.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
