SCOTT CITY -- Goldia Carroll, 79, of Scott City, died Monday, May 10, 1993, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born July 15, 1913, at Allenville, daughter of Fred and Lula Harmon Thompson. She married Silas Tilas Carroll April 12, 1938. He died June 1, 1965.

Carroll was a retired seamstress, and had worked at Ralph Edwards in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Illmo Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Silas Carroll of Kelso; three brothers, Walter Thompson of Scott City, Nathan and Harold Thompson of Jackson; two sisters, Myrtle Thompson of Scott City, Claudene Caldwell of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Bill Dickey will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
