Glenn Wagganer, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at his home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 5, 1926, at Fredericktown, Mo., son of Joseph and Mary White Wagganer. He and Ann Atkinson were married Dec. 1, 1972, at Bonne Terre, Mo.
He grew up in Fredericktown, where for several years he owned and operated Wagganer Sheet Metal. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1989 from Waterloo, Ill., and was the owner of Monroe Mechanical Contractors Inc.
He was a member of St. Mary Cathedral Church in Cape Girardeau and was a combat veteran in Europe during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Robert Whitworth of Raleigh, N.C.; one daughter, Becky Bomar of Cape Girardeau; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will begin at 6 p.m. tonight.
Funeral will be held at St. Mary Cathedral at 10 a.m. Monday, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. A graveside rite will be led by the Fredericktown VFW before burial in Wagganer Cemetery in Fredericktown.
