Glenn W. Woeltje, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 14, 1995, at Vencor Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born April 14, 1919, in Oak Ridge, the son of Oscar G. and Dollie Louise Hamilton Woeltje. He married Rosanna C. Fallert on Sept. 28, 1941, in Cape Girardeau.
Woeltje served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a body-fender man for Harris Truck and Trailer for 27 years. He owned G&R Kennels and bred, raised and trained beagles for 30 years.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson and a member of the DAV.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dennis Woeltje and David Woeltje, both of Cape, and Glenn Fleek of St. Peters; a daughter, Deanna Long of Jackson; two brothers, Dale Woeltje of Jackson and Walter Woeltje of Nacogdoches, Texas; a sister, Edith Ristig of Jackson; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson with the Rev. J. Friedel officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
