Glenn David James, 71, of Cabool, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at his home.
He was born Jan. 7, 1938, in Mayfield, Mo., son of Davy and Oma Jones James. He and Virginia Ann Maness were married Dec. 24, 1959.
James had lived in Cabool since 1957. He helped build the Thompson Poultry Plant, where he worked several years. He had also worked at the Ford dealership, Honeycutt Chevrolet and Matherly Sand and Gravel.
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Lindell "Bud" James of Marble Hill, Mo., Jim James of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Lucille Garland and Edna Cook of Marble Hill, Nettie Jacobs of Cape Girardeau, Norma Jean Proffer of Fruitland and Linda Bazzell of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and four sisters.
The funeral was held Jan. 31 at Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home in Cabool, with Rick Batten officiating. Burial was in Cabool Cemetery.
