ORAN, Mo. -- Glenn Melton Harris, 82, of Oran passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 23, 1937, in Oran, the son of John Melton and Helen Catherine Wright Harris. Glenn was a truck driver for Valley Steel and had worked for Scott County Highway Department. ORAN, Mo. -- Glenn Melton Harris, 82, of Oran passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 23, 1937, in Oran, the son of John Melton and Helen Catherine Wright Harris.

Glenn was a truck driver for Valley Steel and had worked for Scott County Highway Department. He was a member of Oran Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Jason Harris of Oran; daughter Melissa (Darrick) Bruce of Scott City; and two grandchildren, Kalyn and Keegan Bruce of Scott City.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Dean Harris.

There will be no services.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City was in charge of arrangements.
