ESSEX -- Glenn D. Farr, 52, of Rockford, Ill., died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1993, at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 18, 1941, in Essex, son of James William and Mary Farr. He and Almarie Smith were married June 10, 1962.
Farr was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Rockford, Welcome Star Lodge 36 PHA, Balthasar Consistory 92 and Al Waris 220.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Glenn Farr Jr. of Sterling, Ill., Alexander and Demetrice Farr of Rockford; two daughters, Ada and Willa Farr of Rockford; his mother of Howardville; two sisters, Liza Farr of Howardville, Lila Crisp of South Bend, Ind.
He also is survived by 13 brothers, Clem Farr of Fort Wayne, Ind., James Farr Sr. of Parma, Moses and Calvin Farr of Chicago, Luther and W.C. Farr of St. Louis, Floyd Farr of New Madrid, Larry Farr of Hephzibah, Ga., Clifton, Clennon, Clayton and Albert Farr of Howardville, Richard Farr of Westville, Ind., and eight grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn. The Rev. M. Tremble will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Thomas Salter. Burial will be in Simmons Park Cemetery at Catron.
Friends may call at Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Howardville from 7-9 p.m. today.
