WHITEWATER, Mo. -- Glenn C. Chandler, 74, died Friday, May 24 2002, at his home in Whitewater.
Born Oct. 12, 1928, in Ironton, Mo., he was the son of Fred and Minnie Achers Chandler. On Jan. 25, 1958, in Hernando, Miss., he was married to Lorraine L. Rhodes.
A Korean War veteran, Chandler had served in the U.S. Army. He belonged to VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
He was a retired over-the-road truck driver and owned and operated his own business.
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Grafton Chandler of St. Louis, and Kenneth Chandler of Springfield, Mo.; and a sister, Vernice Jones of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and four brothers.
There will be no visitation.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Stroderville Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Berry officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo.
