JACKSON -- Glenn A. Seabaugh, 82, of Jackson, died Tuesday, March 7, 1995, at his home. He was born April 12, 1912, at Sedgewickville, son of Zack A. and Cora Dell Crader Seabaugh. He and Fern J. JACKSON -- Glenn A. Seabaugh, 82, of Jackson, died Tuesday, March 7, 1995, at his home.

He was born April 12, 1912, at Sedgewickville, son of Zack A. and Cora Dell Crader Seabaugh. He and Fern J. Yount were married Nov. 9, 1935.

Seabaugh was a 1931 graduate of Jackson High School, and majored in industrial arts and elementary education at Southeast Missouri State University.

He taught Buck Creek School near Sedgewickville from 1933-35, was principal at Sedgewickville Grade School from 1935-37, and served as Bollinger County treasurer from 1937 to 1942.

Seabaugh managed the office of Bollinger County Superintendent of Schools from January to June 1943, and in April of that year was elected to that office and served 12 years.

He established the Seabaugh Insurance Agency in July 1955, and sold it in 1981. He managed the Bollinger County Branch of the Missouri Motor Vehicle Registration Office, and was a director of Neighborhood Youth Corps for Bollinger County under the county's Economic Corp., of which he became director.

Seabaugh was a member of Marble Hill United Methodist Church, was Sunday School superintendent almost 20 years, was a member of the administrative board, choir, United Methodist Men and other committees.

He was a charter member of Bollinger County Library Board and the Lutesville-Marble Hill Rotary Club, member of Trowel Lodge 440 AF&AM in Marble Hill, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, IOOF Lodge 385, former member of Bollinger County Chamber of Commerce, and had been active in Boy Scouts.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Seabaugh of St. Louis; a daughter, Beverly Piepenbrok of Jackson; a brother, Bob Seabaugh of Marble Hill; a sister, Alvina Kern of Overland; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons and three sisters.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 2:30-8 p.m. today. The Masonic service will be at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Virgil Bunch and Michael Woods officiating. Burial will be in Hahn Chapel Cemetery near Marble Hill.
