Glenda Long, 65, of Union City, Tenn., died Monday, May 3, 2004, at Obion County Nursing Home. She was born July 22, 1938, in St. Louis, daughter of Thomas and Mary Greer Lovelace. Glenda Long, 65, of Union City, Tenn., died Monday, May 3, 2004, at Obion County Nursing Home.

She was born July 22, 1938, in St. Louis, daughter of Thomas and Mary Greer Lovelace.

Long was a retired licensed practical nurse, and worked 30 years at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. She was a member of Mount Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Connie Chalker of Union City, Denise Stover of Jackson, Anita Brimm of Newbern, Tenn., Tina Smith of Rising City, Neb.; two sons, John Long of Troy, Tenn., Mike Long of Lebanon, Tenn.; a sister, Libby Bennett of South Fulton, Tenn.; a brother, David Lovelace of Las Vegas, Nev.; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City after 11 a.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will be in Mount Ararat Cemetery near Troy.
