SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Glenda Altom of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Guffie will officiate, with burial in Sikeston City Cemetery.
Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Altom, 76, of Sikeston, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Blodgett, daughter of Glen Burton and Margurette Wallis Clippard. She and Frank Altom Jr. were married Sept. 24, 1937.
Altom taught at Crowder and Sikeston Public Schools more than 35 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Ruth Sunday School Class, and Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Wallis Altom of Sikeston; a brother, Wallis Clippard of Dexter; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
