DONGOLA, Ill. -- Glen Hinkle, 89, of Dongola, Ill., died Sunday, April 4, 1993, at Hillview Nursing Home in Vienna, Ill.
He was born Sept. 20, 1903, at Dongola, Ill., son of Thomas and Ida Keller Hinkle.
He was a retired carpenter.
Hinkle was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, a veteran of Work War II and a member of the Dongola American Legion.
Survivors include three sisters, Hallie Hinkle of Dongola, Ill., Mildred Hinkle of Goreville, Ill., Grace Hinkle of Jonesboro, Ill.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today and until the funeral services Tuesday, at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Dongola, Ill., with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hinkle Cemetery, in Dongola, Ill., with military graveside rites conducted by Carroll P. Foster, of VFW Post 3455.
