Glen Joseph Grojean, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 12, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born June 8, 1941 in Chaffee, Missouri, to Anthony Charles and Wilma Mary Frederick Grojean. He and Bessie J. Vance were married July 20, 1963, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.
He served in the Air Force from 1958 to 1961.
Glen received a master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University.
He worked at the former Atlas Plastics, was a teacher at Thomas W. Kelly High School in Benton, Missouri, a principal at Advance (Missouri) High School and then became a salesman with ABF Trucking, from which he retired.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie J. Grojean of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Rebecca Grojean and Deborah (J. Steven) Schmittzehe, both of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Dorothy McBride and Bonnie Amick of Arkansas; two granddaughters, Ashley (Don Perry III) Schmittzehe and Megan Schmittzehe; and two sisters-in-law, Roberta Grojean and Betty Grojean of Chaffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles J. and Robert J. Grojean.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m., followed by a rosary.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bobby Manso officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Graveside military rites will be provided by Missouri Honors Team.
