CHARLESTON -- Glen Owen Collier, 67, Charleston Route 2, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born April 20, 1929, in Scott County, son of Freeman and Esther Christine Mitchell Collier Sr. He and June Shaw were married Aug. 28, 1953.
Collier was a farmer and landowner. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Leslie Collier of Charleston; two daughters, Laurie Urhahn of Paducah, Ky., Lee Adams of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Ralph Collier of Marble Hill, Freeman Collier of Olmsted, Ill.; five sisters, Naomi Simmons of Cape Girardeau, Barbara Kehoe and Helen Holland of St. Louis, Carrie Trentham of Jackson, Charlotte Collier of Columbia; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, brother and sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5:30 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
