Glayne Durwood Light, 70, of Winer Haven, Fla., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995, at the Winter Haven Hospital.
He was born April 19, 1925, at Bunker, Mo., son of William Henry and Virginia Lela Warfel Light.
He and Marie Dunivan were married June 24, 1947, at St. Louis.
He operated Light's Cafe in Advance for five years. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1965 and worked for the Cape police department for 21 years. He moved to Winter Haven four years ago.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Samuel David Light of Cape Girardeau and Dennis Glayne Light of Bethel Park, Pa.; two daughters, Connie Matey of Tampa, Fla., and Carol Lynn Light Hasagawa of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. John Ford of Annapolis, Mo., Mrs. Lewis Thieman of Vaughn, N.M., and Mrs. Kenneth Rouse of Maplewood, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Lee Cullen will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
