ANNISTON -- Gladys G. Noble of Apache Junction, Ariz., died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998.
She was born in Anniston, daughter of Hobart and Lucy May Balding Manley. She first married Rue Henley, and later married David Noble.
Noble was a graduate of Anniston High School and member of the basketball team.
She was involved in various business interests, and was a member of Eastern Star. She and her first husband operated a grocery store in Anniston.
Noble left Anniston in the 1950s, moved to Alaska in 1960, and after retiring in 1976 moved to Arizona with David Noble.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Bogart; a brother, Leroy Mitchell; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston. Martin Lucas will officiate.
Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
