GLADYS L. EDGIL

ADVANCE -- Funeral service for Gladys Leona Edgil, Advance Route 2, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ernie Cate will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today.

Edgil, 75, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 3, 1918, at Perkins, daughter of Henry and Rosa Lee Simmons Kennedy. She married Woodrow Welker in 1937, who died June 22, 1979. She later married Lonnie Edgil in 1983.

Edgil was a member of Providence Baptist Church at Puxico.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Lonnie Welker of Imperial, Kenny Welker of Arnold; a brother, Johnnie Kennedy of Chaffee; a stepbrother, Stanley Brown of Chaffee; a sister, Grace McNeely of Advance, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and two stepbrothers.
