GLADYS HOUSEMAN

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Gladys Mae Houseman, 75, of Jonesboro died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at her home.

She was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Jonesboro, daughter of Duke and Ruth Bauer Miller. She and Herman Houseman were married Feb. 2, 1945. He died Sept. 24, 1994.

Houseman was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Dillow of McClure, Linda Roberts of Jonesboro, Tammy Murphy of Mound City; a son, Lonnie Houseman of Jonesboro; four sisters, Dortha Barnes of Cairo, Helen Dexter of Ullin, Ruth Hazelwood and Shirley Turner of Wickliffe, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ebenezer Church, with the Rev. Herman Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
