Gladys Olivia Eddleman, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Cape Girardeau County, Mo., daughter of Preston and Blanche Abernathy Noland. She first married Paul Johnson, who preceded her in death. Gladys Olivia Eddleman, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Cape Girardeau County, Mo., daughter of Preston and Blanche Abernathy Noland. She first married Paul Johnson, who preceded her in death. She and Harley Eddleman were married Aug. 14, 1948, in Piggott, Ark.

Eddleman had worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis at the record center in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Third Street United Methodist Church and its women's organization.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Harley Eddleman Jr. of Marble Hill, Mo.; a daughter, Paula Siemers of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Revs. John Ferguson and Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
