DEXTER -- Gladys Eaton, 92, of Dexter, died Wednesday, July 24, 1996, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
She was born March 10, 1904, in Pocahontas, Ark., daughter of Minture and Minnie Jane Birmingham. She and Jake Alvis Eaton were married in 1936. He died in 1975.
Eaton had lived in the Dexter and Bloomfield area the past 31 years. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Yarbro, Ark.
Survivors include two sons, Oscar Brady of Bloomfield, Utah Brady of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Alice McQueen of Bloomfield, Winnona McGuire of Gulfport, Miss.; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
