CHARLESTON -- Gladys D. Simpson, 94, of St. Louis, formerly of Charleston, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1994, at her home.

She was born Sept. 4, 1899, in Kansas City, daughter of Franklin E. and Emma Powell Danielson. She married Harry G. Simpson, who preceded her in death.

While in Charleston, she was a member of First Baptist Church and president of the Women's Missionary Union. She was a member of Molly French Garden Club, and PEO Chapter CV.

Simpson moved to St. Louis in the 1960s, and was a member of Webster Hills United Methodist Church in Webster Groves.

Survivors include two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by a son and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Murrell Cunningham will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. to service time.
