SCOTT CITY -- Gladys Opal Cassout, 86, of Scott City died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at her home.
She was born April 24, 1914, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Walter and Dollie Jones King. She and Bernie Cassout were married July 6, 1944, in Blytheville, Ark. He died Jan. 12, 1979.
Cassout was an inspector at Ely Walker 30 years, retiring April 24, 1976. She attended First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jay and Kenneth Cassout and Leroy Smith of Scott City; a daughter, Murline Reed of Scott City; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel. The Rev. Randy Morse will officiate. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
