BELL CITY, Mo. -- Funeral for Gladys Callow of Bell City will be held at 10 a.m. today at Hooe Baptist Church near Oran, Mo. The Rev. Ed Carter will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley, Mo.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Oran is in charge of arrangements.
Callow, 96, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Jan. 27, 1906, in Tiptonville, Tenn., daughter of Walter and Ada Decker Blanks. She and Elmer J. Callow were married July 15, 1923. He died April 3, 1986.
Callow retired as a machine operator at Oran Hat Factory. She was a member of Hooe Baptist Church and taught Sunday School many years.
Survivors include a son, Dale Callow of Advance, Mo.; two daughters, Mary Bryeans of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Ruby Faulconer of Holiday Island, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons, a brother, two sisters, and three great-grandchildren.
