Gladys Brown

Gladys M. Brown, 85, of Delta died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

She was born May 14, 1926, at Allenville, to Ancil Ivan and Grace W. Smith Givens. She and Orval Otto "Slim" Brown were married Nov. 25, 1950. He died Dec. 1, 1973.

Gladys was a member of First Baptist Church in Delta and Delta Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a daughter, Catherine (Lowell) Fish of Delta; two grandchildren, Alan (Laura) Fish and Kristin Fish of Columbia, Mo.; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella Rose Fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Delta.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Revs. Tommy Weems, Ron Shrum and Eric Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
