GILBERT R. ENGERT

FROHNA - Gilbert R. Engert of Frohna died Tuesday, April 16, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was 77.

Engert was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Perry County, son of Theodore and Anna Schroeder Engert. He and the former Ruth A. Moeller were married Oct. 19, 1946.

Engert is survived by his wife, and a brother, Ruben Engert of Fredericksburg, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Engert was a retired metal polisher for an appliance manufacturing company. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4282 in Perryville.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg after 5 p.m. today. A VFW wake service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church. The Rev. Luther Herman will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
